A detail set of the engine exhaust nozzle for the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter in the A and B versions, in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. The resin accessory replaces the simplified nozzle from a plastic kit with a faithfully detailed part with crisply rendered petals and inner structure.
The F-16 is a single-engine American multirole fighter. The A version was single-seat, the B version a two-seat trainer; both belong to the early production forms of this very widespread type. The characteristic turbojet nozzle is a striking feature of the rear end of the aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. The nozzle comes into its own once painted in metallic and heat-stressed shades with a gentle wash that brings out the petals and the inner ribbing.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
