A color 3D decal from Quinta Studio in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and not etch: it is raised, fully colored cockpit detail printed on backing decal paper and transferred with water. The set improves the modern crew station of a model of the F-35A Lightning II fighter, including the large panoramic display.
The F-35A Lightning II is an American fifth-generation multirole fighter with stealth technology. Its cockpit is entirely digital and dominated by a large touchscreen display in place of conventional dials. It is exactly that modern look which the set reproduces faithfully.
Cut the part out of the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slide it off the paper into place with tweezers. The part has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a gloss coat, so give the surface a clear coat beforehand (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22). On complex areas a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they attack the printed resin. The whole can then be evened out with a matte coat.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The kit itself and the paints are not included in the package.
