The Kubelwagen Type 82 is a light off-road car of the German army of the Second World War, built on a chassis derived from the people's car. The body is open and the canvas roof folds down, so on a model in 1:35 scale practically the whole interior stays visible and is worth finishing off.
Colored three-dimensional elements for the dashboard, the controls and the surfaces of the crew compartment. The instruments and the stenciling come finished in color, and the elements have a thickness and relief of their own, so they do not look like a flat print. This is the smaller version of the set, which covers selected areas rather than the whole interior down to the last detail. In shape the set is matched to the Meng kit.
Before application, level the surfaces of the kit, remove any burrs and degrease them. Separate and carry the elements with tweezers and try the position dry first. Seat them at the first attempt, because repeated sliding reduces their adhesion. The sheet is dipped briefly in lukewarm water, the element slides off the backing paper and settles on a gloss clear coat, which holds it; it has no adhesive layer of its own and a matte surface is a mistake. Do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. Finish the interior before you seat the seats and fit the roof.
The set is for modelers who want the open interior of the car finished in color without painting the small details with a brush. It shows best on a model with the windshield folded down and the roof stowed. The package contains only the elements of the set; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
