Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing frames of a model of the American carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It is a painting aid, not a kit. The single-sided form covers the outer surface of the glazing; the double-sided variant of the same type is worth giving preference to only when you want to spray the inner side of the frames separately. The set is cut for the Hobby Boss kit.
Cut masks deal with the frames and their edges, that is the part of the work that is the most laborious. The large surfaces of glazing between the frames are practical to cover additionally, either with a piece of ordinary masking tape or with masking fluid. You will save material and at the same time gain the certainty that no mist from the airbrush gets through the transparent part. Proceed by first sticking the cut masks on, then adding the covering of the remaining surfaces, and only then painting.
Before painting, run a fingernail or a toothpick along the edges of the masks, so that they sit down. At the boundary between the mask and the glass it is advisable to apply a thin coat of the interior color or of the base shade first: any paint creeping under is then not visible. Spray the camouflage shades only afterwards, again in thin coats.
