Self-adhesive die-cut masks, Eduard 1:48 H-34, in kabuki tape for clean masking of the cockpit glazing and the windows of a helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the American Sikorsky H-34 piston general-purpose helicopter in 1:48 scale. The set is made of yellow kabuki tape, which holds reliably on flat and curved surfaces alike and, once the edges are pressed down, leaves a sharp spray edge.
The helicopter has extensive cockpit glazing and side windows in the fuselage, and masking them by hand takes a great deal of time. The pre-cut masks cover the frames exactly to size, so the glass stays clean and the color transitions are sharp. Circular masks for the wheels, for an easy separation of tire from rim, are usually included as well.
Lift the individual masks carefully off the backing with pointed tweezers, lay them on the part and press the edges down thoroughly, for instance with a toothpick or a piece of tissue, so that paint cannot creep under the edge. Cover the larger areas of glass between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint in thin layers and peel the masks off while the finish is fresh — the edges will then be at their sharpest.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
