A set of pre-painted photo-etched seat belts in 1:48 scale. This is a detail accessory for the cockpit, not a stand-alone model. The belts are made from thin steel sheet and are pre-printed in color, so once they are broken out of the fret and assembled they look realistic with no need for painting. The steel base also holds the shape, so the belts can be bent naturally and left to drape over the seat.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British fighter, one of the main defenders during the Battle of Britain. Faithfully rendered belts in the pilot's compartment markedly raise the impression of a cockpit that is open or can be seen through the glazing.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, join the individual sections of the belts and shape them with tweezers. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue in spots. At the end it is a good idea to go over the colored layer with a matte clear coat and to bring the weathering out lightly.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not part of the package.
