An airbrush template of Italian mottled camouflage in 1:48, number two is a workshop aid for applying the pattern evenly onto a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Under this name there is an airbrush template for models in 1:48, that is a working aid for the workshop. It serves so that the irregular pattern of Italian camouflage can be applied repeatedly and with the same density across the whole surface of an airframe. The number two refers to one of several forms by which the manufacturer divides its range.
A pattern applied only freehand tends to be irregular in size on a small model and easily slides into a continuous map. A fixed shape holds the size of the blotches within a reasonable span and keeps the same rhythm on the wing, the fuselage and the tail surfaces. The result then looks more convincing than randomly scattered patches. In the same way the pattern can be repeated later, when you return to the same scheme on another machine.
Thinner paint, lower pressure and short passes perpendicular to the surface prove themselves. When you hold the template off by a millimeter or two, the edge softens; pressed down, it gives a sharper edge instead. Let the paint set between the individual positions, so that a fresh coat is not smeared. Wipe the residues of paint off the edges before they dry, otherwise they will print onto the fresh coat at the next position.
The package does not contain the paints or the kit itself.
