J-3 Cub Goes to War 1:48 is an injection-molded plastic short-run kit of the light liaison and observation aircraft in military service from Special Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit in 1:48 scale captures the Piper J-3 Cub light liaison and observation aircraft in military service. It is an injection-molded plastic model from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby with a clear part for the glazing and a decal sheet for several machines. It is a short-run kit, which will reward a more careful approach.
The Piper J-3 Cub was a simple two-seat high-wing monoplane with tandem seating that proved itself during and after the Second World War as a liaison, observation and training aircraft. Thanks to its low speed and its ability to operate from improvised strips, it served for artillery spotting and for courier and liaison tasks.
With a short-run kit, clean up the parting lines and keep checking the fit of the parts. Finish the richly glazed cabin with its internal structure before closing the fuselage up, and mask it carefully. Use a primer and an airbrush; set the matte military schemes and the fabric surfaces apart in both shade and texture.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
