Purple skin for the undead and for injured bodies

The manufacturer places this shade among the colors for decomposing flesh, bruises and blood effects. In the 18 ml bottle is an acrylic paint with a special resin formulation: once laid on it spreads, settles in the engraved details and, on the very first pass of the brush, creates the impression of three-dimensional depth without any mixing of shades.

Where the shade works

• The skin of zombies, vampires and other undead figures.
• Bruises, swellings and fresh injuries on otherwise healthy flesh.
• Cold shadows in the folds of the flesh areas of figures.
• Worn fabrics and leather straps with a crimson cast.
• Toning pale surfaces that lack depth of color.

A procedure that works

Paint over a light base, ideally white or a very light gray. Lay the shade on with a larger brush all at once across the whole area and let it run freely; do not go back into a coat that is hardening, or blotches will appear. If you need a finer effect, thin the paint with the medium from the same line. Once dry, the more saturated spots can be repeated with a second pass, but only where the shadow is to be deeper.
