The 1:48 Jaguar Single seat painting mask sheet from Clear Prop Models is cut from yellow kabuki paper and covers the outer surface of the glazing on the single-seat versions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The masking set from Clear Prop Models is pre-cut into yellow kabuki paper, that is Japanese rice tape with a gentle adhesive. The material can be pressed even into a rounded transition without wrinkling, and when peeled off it does not lift dried paint. The finished pieces simply have to be lifted from the sheet, laid on the cockpit glass and pressed down; tracing and cutting by hand is done away with.
The subject is a British-French attack aircraft that originally came about as a trainer type and in the end turned into a carrier of strike armament. The single-seat versions flew with the Royal Air Force as the GR.1 and GR.3 and with the French Air Force as the A variant. The machine was marked by a high-mounted wing, a pair of engines side by side and the ability to operate from improvised strips, which showed in operations over the Persian Gulf and in Africa.
Clean the glass before applying and remove any fingerprints. Press the mask down with a finger or a soft tool so that the edge adheres closely, and spray the interior color first, then the upper camouflage. Let the paint set, but do not leave the mask on the model too long; it is peeled off at an angle and slowly, ideally with tweezers.
The sheet holds the masking pieces alone, no paint and no model.
