This accessory set replaces the whole rear part of the engine section on a model of the F-15 fighter in 1:48 scale: the exhaust nozzles and the afterburner ducts behind them. It is not a kit but parts fitted in place of the ones from the box. This is exactly where a viewer looks on a model of the F-15 — the nozzles are large, usually easy to see, and the base kit deals with them in simplified form, without the depth you expect at this scale. The set is cut for the GWH kit of the F-15 in 1:48 scale.
The F-15 is a twin-engined fighter with a high thrust-to-weight ratio, whose pair of nozzles makes up a prominent part of the silhouette from behind. The versions also differ in their engines: US Air Force machines use Pratt and Whitney powerplants, while some export machines received General Electric engines. The shape and the surface of the nozzle change visibly according to the engine manufacturer, so check which version and which engine you are building. The afterburner duct only shows on a model if the nozzle is open and the viewer can look inside.
Separate the parts from the carrier structure carefully, true the cuts up and do a dry run in the fuselage — the engine section tends to be the place where accessories fit worst. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Deal with the painting before fitting it into the fuselage: a primer, metallic shades and only then heat staining toward the edge of the nozzle. The inside of the duct deserves a dark wash and a fine dry brush, so that depth appears when you look into the nozzle. The outer flaps come out well with a lighter dry brush over a darker base.
