A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set brings a pair of faithfully cast underwing pods with 3.7 cm antitank cannon (Bordkanone) for the antitank version of the Junkers Ju 87G dive bomber. It replaces or completes the simplified plastic from a kit in 1:48 scale and gives a model the characteristic look of a tank hunter.
The Ju 87G was the antitank version of the legendary German Stuka dive bomber. Under each wing it carried a pod with an automatic 3.7 cm cannon derived from an antiaircraft gun, firing hard-core ammunition for piercing armor. In this form, nicknamed the Kanonenvogel, it became famous above all on the Eastern Front as an effective destroyer of Soviet tanks.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Lay down a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
