This is an add-on set of the engine exhaust nozzle, not an aircraft model. The set from Reskit contains a resin, or possibly 3D-printed, exhaust nozzle for the Lockheed-Martin F-35 fighter in the A and C variants, in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified plastic part and brings fine detail to the inside and the outside of the exhaust end of the engine.
The F-35 Lightning II is an American fifth-generation multirole fighter with an emphasis on low observability. The F-35A version is land-based with conventional takeoff and landing, while the F-35C is carrier-borne with larger lifting surfaces and strengthened landing gear. Both share an engine with a distinctively shaped exhaust nozzle, which this set captures faithfully.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the inside of the nozzle in metallic and heat-tinted shades, set the petals apart and emphasize them with a dark wash for depth.
An add-on set. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
