A detailed resin upgrade set of the M35 armament subsystem for a model of the attack helicopter Bell AH-1G Cobra in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker CMK. The M35 subsystem was the cannon armament fitted to Cobras during the Vietnam War. It is not a model of a helicopter but an accessory for experienced modelers, which adds a faithful weapon station to a finished model.
The resin castings capture the fine detail of the cannon and its mounting far more faithfully than molded plastic parts, which a basic kit either does not have at all or has in simplified form. The set is designed for the AH-1G Cobra plastic kit (Special Hobby) — check the compatibility and the exact placement against the packaging.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. It is a good idea to paint the armament separately and bring it out with a wash before fitting it to the fuselage.
It is a supplementary resin set, not a model of a helicopter. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
