Martin B-26B/C Marauder, 3D-printed engines for ICM is a detail add-on set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a 3D-printed replacement for the engines of the ICM B-26 Marauder plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail add-on set, not a standalone aircraft model. The set from Eduard holds 3D-printed (resin) engines in 1:48 scale that replace the engines from the plastic kit of the American medium bomber Martin B-26B/C Marauder from ICM. The high resolution of the 3D print captures the fine detail of the radial engines far more faithfully than the production plastic parts. To use it you need the base B-26 Marauder kit from ICM, which is not included in the package.
The set serves to raise the fidelity of the model's powerplants considerably. It replaces the original engines of the base kit with finely executed 3D-printed parts, which stand out above all on models with the engine cowlings removed or opened, where the engine is visible.
First separate the 3D-printed parts carefully from their support structures and clean them up. Washing them to remove any residue and bonding them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) is recommended. Protect your airways while sanding. The engines come into their own after a base primer has been sprayed and the colors applied with an airbrush, and a fine wash will bring out the detail.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base B-26 Marauder kit from ICM, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
