An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Soviet jet fighter in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter. The box holds gray and clear plastic with finely engraved panel lines, a cockpit with an instrument panel and decals for several marking options. The clean silhouette of the MiG-15 makes the model a rewarding item in a collection of jet aircraft.
The MiG-15 was one of the first successful Soviet jet fighters with a swept wing and became a symbol of the beginning of the era of jet combat. The bis version was an improved variant with a more powerful engine. The aircraft was heavily armed with cannon and became famous above all in the fighting over Korea, where it met Western jet fighters. The MiG-15 served in enormous numbers in many countries of the world.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage up. Lay down a primer before painting and apply the paints with an airbrush; masking film makes clean canopy glazing easier. On natural metal schemes, metalizer paints on a smooth, polished surface work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
