Eduard Brassin 1:48 MiG-21 seat, late version is a resin detail ejection seat for a plastic model of the MiG-21 fighter in its late versions. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard is not a model of the aircraft but a detailed resin accessory. It replaces the simplified seat from a plastic kit with a faithful copy of the ejection seat of the late MiG-21 versions, including the definition of the structure, the firing handles and the harness straps. The seat is usually complemented by colored etched sheet for the belts and the small levers. The set does not contain the base kit.
The MiG-21 is a Soviet supersonic fighter, one of the most widespread jets of the Cold War. The later versions used a modernized ejection seat that differs in detail from the early types; that is precisely the one this set captures.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut them off the casting blocks and join them with cyanoacrylate glue. Do any sanding with respiratory protection. The seat will stand out after shading with a dark wash and a fine highlighting of the edges with a dry brush; the etched belts can be shaped for a realistic overhang past the edges.
This is an accessory resin set, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
