This detail set from Quinta Studio brings a complete colored cockpit interior for the P-39 Airacobra fighter in the Q and N versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a cockpit accessory. The instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat belts and further elements are 3D printed and printed in full color on carrier decal paper with pronounced relief. They are applied like a wet decal.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter of the Second World War with an unusual layout, in which the engine sat behind the pilot and the nose was set aside for the armament. It was used on a large scale by the Soviet Air Force, where it proved itself especially at lower altitudes. The cockpit with doors on the sides is a rewarding detail for a modeler.
Go over the surfaces of the cockpit with gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Cut the individual parts out, immerse them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide them off the paper onto the place intended; they have no adhesive layer of their own and hold precisely on that varnish. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, their chemistry attacks the printed resin. Finish the interior before closing the fuselage.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a model of the aircraft. The package does not contain the kit, glue or paints.
