This sheet from the French maker Syhart Decal contains solely technical lettering, the so-called stencils: maintenance legends, warning and safety markings that cover the airframe of French Rafales in the B, C and M versions. The set is intended as a standalone supplement of technical lettering: it contains no national markings, codes or unit badges, which have to be added from another sheet. It is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model of the aircraft.
Technical lettering gives a model realism: real aircraft are covered with dozens of small warning and servicing legends around the access panels, the fuel points, the ejection seat and the weapon pylons. A separate sheet of stencils is welcome when you are building several French Rafales and have already exhausted the basic marking sheets. The package also contains a pictorial guide that helps tell the individual versions and variants apart, and a set of masks for the non-slip areas.
Apply the small stencils onto a smooth gloss coat, in small groups and with plenty of water, so that they do not dry out. A decal softener helps the stencils settle onto curved surfaces and into the engraved lines. Once dry, go over everything with a clear coat to the level of gloss you want.
This is a standalone sheet of technical lettering, not a kit and not the complete markings of one aircraft.
