Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, based in Obrnice near Most. It is not a kit: these are pre-cut masks of masking tape with which you cover the cockpit glazing and other surfaces that are to stay clear after spraying. Cutting the frames out by hand is no longer needed and the edge of the coat comes out sharp even on a curved canopy. The number and extent of the masks are given on the packaging of the set.
The F-84F Thunderstreak is an American single-engine jet aircraft of the 1950s. It differs from the straight-wing predecessors of the same family in its swept wing and tail surfaces, which allowed it to work at a higher speed range. The type spread beyond the United States as well, and in the 1950s and 1960s it was ordinary equipment for a number of European air forces, which makes it a rewarding subject for various color schemes.
Wash and degrease the glass first, as a mask will not hold on a greasy surface. Press the applied mask down with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick, especially on the edges of the frames. Before the color layer, spray a thin sealing layer of the framing shade or of clear varnish — that closes the gap and the paint will not run underneath. On natural metal surfaces, which are frequent on this type, watch out for a perfectly smooth base; a metallic coat shows up every scratch. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
