A very thin styrene strip with a 0.38 x 1.5 mm section and 35 cm long. Flexible, suitable for edging, frames and fine reinforcements. One piece is one strip.
Responsibility details are not available.
Just under four tenths of a millimeter in thickness and one and a half millimeters in width give a profile that is almost at the limit of visibility and yet can be worked without tweezer acrobatics. On a model a strip like this does not look like a stuck-on piece of plastic but like part of the shape, which is decisive with fine details.
The small thickness brings flexibility. The strip can be curled around a cylinder without heating, wrapped around a tank or run in a gentle arc along a rounded fuselage. It is enough to hold it and add thin glue drop by drop, which melts the material slightly and pulls it down onto the surface.
It can be cut with a fresh blade in a single pass; the material does not need a saw. When measuring, it helps to put a piece of card under the strip so that the blade does not skid on a smooth board. A piece laid on dry can be moved until it sits exactly right, and only then comes the glue.
One strip is thirty-five centimeters long, so even after a few failed attempts there is plenty of material left. In 1:35 scale the section corresponds to a batten of roughly one and a half by five centimeters. White styrene can be painted directly. Just watch out for tweezers with coarse teeth, since the mark of their jaws stays visible in the soft surface even under several coats of varnish.
