This is a resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the simplified plastic seat from a kit with a faithfully cast ejection seat of the Saab 73SE-F type, of the kind used by the Swedish Saab 35 Draken fighter. The casting captures the shape of the shell, the harness, the firing handles and further small details that a plastic part usually lacks.
The Saab 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic fighter with a double delta wing. Its pilots sat on an ejection seat of Swedish design that allowed an emergency escape from the aircraft. On a finished model with the canopy open the seat is a prominent and easily visible element of the cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the seat and cut off the casting block. Bond resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. It pays to paint and weather the seat separately before setting it into the cockpit; pick out the harness and the handles with contrasting shades and a gentle wash.
