Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter in the high-back version in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, in the ProfiPACK edition. ProfiPACK means fuller contents: colored photo-etched parts and masking stencils are included. The box offers several marking options; check the exact number of schemes against the manufacturer's part number.
The Spitfire Mk.XVI was a late variant of the legendary British fighter, powered by a Packard Merlin engine built under license. The high-back version had the classic shape of the rear fuselage with a taller canopy, unlike the later machines with a cut-down spine and a bubble canopy. Mk.XVI Spitfires served at the end of the war and afterwards in the ground attack and fighter roles.
Make use of the colored photo-etch for the instrument panel and the seat belts and of the masks supplied for the glazing. Paint the interior before you close the fuselage. Glue with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, put the decals on over a gloss coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
