A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the pilot seat of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in 1:48 scale. The seat has the seat belts cast straight into it, with accurate sag and buckles, so the laborious addition of photo-etched parts falls away. The part is meant for modelers who want to fit out a cockpit quickly and accurately.
The seat dominates an open cockpit and cast belts with a realistic sag bring it to life. On the Spitfire, whose cockpit is easy to see thanks to the sliding canopy, an accurate seat is a prominent detail. A single part therefore does a great deal for the overall impression of the interior.
