Su-27 1:48 interior 3D decal - Quinta Studio

A set of color interior 3D decals from Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of the Soviet and Russian Su-27 fighter (NATO reporting name Flanker) in 1:48 scale. Watch the scale: this item is the version for 1:48, not for the larger 1:32 release; the sets differ in size and are not interchangeable. It is not a kit and not a model: the set replaces the bare plastic interior parts with a richly structured, raised and pre-colored surface.

What an interior 3D decal is

A 3D decal is a color decal with relief: the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat and other parts of the cockpit are raised and already colored from the factory. They are applied by the wet method like a decal, but their thickness makes them behave more like pre-colored photo-etched parts. The instrument faces have clear glossy glazing, so they look realistic.

Use

• Apply onto a finished, painted and preferably gloss surface
• Dip the part in lukewarm water for a few seconds and lift it out with tweezers
• The part has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on the gloss coat, and on a complex shape a drop of cyanoacrylate helps
• Do not use decal softener or setting solution at all, as they would attack the printed resin
