It replaces the gun armament part from a plastic kit with an execution with sharper edges, a more accurate cross-section and finer surface detail. According to the name the package contains two pieces. It is not an aircraft model or its kit, and the base kit has to be bought separately. The execution of the part is described by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set.
The Su-25 is a single-seat subsonic attack aircraft with two jet engines, designed for operation at low altitude. Characteristic of it are the armored pilot's cockpit, a rugged airframe and a large number of hardpoints under a straight wing. The type was built in single-seat and two-seat training versions and was widespread among a number of operators. The description keeps to the technical side of the design.
Parts of this kind tend to be thin and break easily, so handle them by the thicker part and never lever them. Cut the casting block off with a fine-toothed saw at a sufficient distance from the part and take the remainder down with a file. Watch the axis when fitting — the part has to meet the fuselage straight and symmetrically, otherwise any misalignment shows at once on the finished model. Gluing in two steps helps: first a drop of gel super glue, a check of the axis seen from above and from the front, and only then the final cure. Before painting, wash the parts in warm water with detergent and apply a primer. Metallic shades on resin show to effect only on a smooth surface, so smooth it carefully beforehand.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
