1:48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXe Collection is an Xtradecal decal set with markings for the legendary British fighter in the Mk.IXe version.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale brings a collection of markings for the Supermarine Spitfire in the Mk.IXe version, that is, with the wing adapted for the revised armament. It contains schemes of British and foreign users from the late war and postwar period. The decals are meant for a matching plastic model; the model itself is not included in the package.
The Spitfire Mk.IX came about as a rapid answer to the new German fighters and combined the proven airframe with a more powerful Merlin engine. The Mk.IXe version was marked by a revised mix of armament in the wing and was among the most widespread and most successful variants of the whole family. It stayed in service with many national air forces long after the war, which gives modelers plenty of room for interesting finishes.
Apply the decals over gloss varnish so that no silvering appears. Settle the roundels, squadron codes and personal markings with a decal softener and pull the film down onto the panel lines with a setting solution. Choose a matte or semi-gloss final varnish according to the type of scheme.
The set contains decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
