This product is not a model but an accessory set of replacement resin tracks for assembled T-55 models in 1:48 scale. The OMSh-type tracks are 3D designed and cast already as a joined run; once separated from the casting gates they are simply fitted onto the running gear. The package also includes spare track and replaces the parts supplied in the base kit.
Single-pin OMSh tracks with an open joint were used on the Soviet medium tanks T-54, T-55 and T-62. Their link pattern is among the typical identifying features of these postwar vehicles.
First wash the parts and separate them carefully from the gates. Bond with cyanoacrylate (super glue) and protect your airways when sanding resin. A realistic look comes from steel shades, emphasis with pigments and a patina of mud or dust.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
