A demanding resin detail set completed by photo-etched parts. It is NOT a model of an aircraft but a complete replacement of the cockpit for models of the two-seat Panavia Tornado IDS combat aircraft in the early version, 1:48 scale. It offers richly divided cockpit tubs, instrument panels, side consoles and more faithful ejection seats.
The Panavia Tornado IDS is a two-seat multirole combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed by a consortium of Germany, Great Britain and Italy for strike and reconnaissance missions in all weathers. The early version has different cockpit equipment from the later upgrades, which this set respects.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and verify the seating in the fuselage with a dry fit (it is often necessary to thin the walls). It is glued with superglue, and so are the photo-etched parts. The cockpit is best painted in sections with an airbrush and the detail finished with a brush; sand resin with respiratory protection.
This is an add-on set, not a model of an aircraft. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
