The M4A3 was the version of the Sherman preferred by the US Army. It differed from the others in its Ford GAA gasoline V8 engine, which offered good performance and reliability. It had a welded hull and carried a gun of 75 mm caliber in a rotating turret. The M4A3 was deployed in Europe and in the Pacific and made up a substantial part of the American armored units in the closing stage of the war.
In 1:48 scale, assemble and paint the running gear and the lower hull before you close the parts up. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. After spraying the olive green camouflage, emphasize the panel lines with a wash and add restrained dust and mud effects with pigments appropriate to the smaller scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
