The U-STAR 1.5 mm modeling drill bit is a drilling bit for a pin vise or a mini drill. A diameter of 1.5 mm is a classic for holes for handles, antennas and thin tubing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Drill bits are a consumable tool that a modeler buys according to what is being built at the time. A diameter of 1.5 mm is among the most used: it is big enough for a drill to last more than a few holes and at the same time small enough for most detailing work in all the ordinary scales. It is clamped in a pin vise or in a mini drill.
Typically for holes for handles bent from wire, for mounting antennas and masts, for counterboring under the tubing of replacement barrels and exhausts, and for preparing the pins on which two parts hold together. It is also used to lighten solid shapes, when a plastic tube or nozzle is meant to look hollow, and to open out holes a pin from another part will not fit into.
For modelers who add detail to models and do not want to rely on what is in the box. This is a tool, not a kit or an accessory for a particular model.
