A set of water-slide decals in 1:48 scale from Caracal Models. It holds accurately drawn technical stencils true to scale and national insignia for American F-4 and RF-4 Phantoms in high-visibility schemes. Most of the stencils can be used on camouflaged machines as well.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was a key multirole and reconnaissance (RF-4) aircraft of the US Air Force. The quantity of small service and warning stencils on its airframe is essential for a faithful model, and a basic marking set covers it for several builds.
Apply the small stencils over a gloss surface to prevent silvering. After dipping in water, slide the decal into place, fine-tune the position and draw off the excess water. With fine stencils a decal softener and a final matte clear coat help.
