A resin (3D-printed) engine set for the B-17F/G in 1:32 scale for experienced modelers — a complete upgrade of the power units; it is not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin (3D-printed) set for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. The set brings a complete set of engines for the four-engine bomber B-17F/G Flying Fortress in 1:32 scale and is intended to upgrade the large plastic kit from Hong Kong Models. It replaces the simplified plastic engines with faithful 3D-printed units.
The Flying Fortress was powered by four Wright R-1820 Cyclone radial engines. The set reproduces all four power units with fine rendering of the cylinders, the finning and the plumbing; depending on the form it is completed by cast adapters for seating them into the engine nacelles. In the large 1:32 scale details like this are especially easy to see.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks and the print supports, wash them to remove mold release agent and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The engines come out well once the metallic shades are painted and the plumbing is picked out; check the fit into the nacelles of your particular kit before gluing.
This is an accessory set for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
