The second sheet of the range, Hawk 81-A2 Flying Tigers over China Part II from the brand AML, widens the choice of markings for the fighters of the volunteers in the Chinese sky.
Responsibility details are not available.
A continuation of the decal range intended for the very small scale. Its content is the markings of the machines that flew under Chinese colors at the turn of 1941 and 1942, that is in the most strained phase of the volunteers' service.
The volunteers went into action for the first time on the twentieth of December 1941 over Kunming. Immediately afterward the defense of Rangoon awaited them, where for several weeks they covered the port and the Burma Road against Japanese raids. The unit was divided into three squadrons with emblems of their own: the first carried the motif of Adam and Eve, the second a panda and the third a winged figure. The pilots stuck to attacking from a dive with a quick break away and on principle did not get into turning fights with the lighter Japanese fighters. The number of serviceable aircraft was always no more than a handful, and the mechanics put spare parts together from what was left of wrecked machines.
Before transferring the markings, level the surface smooth and polish it, otherwise the small motifs will not settle into the engraved detail. Once dry, go over the area with a matte varnish so that the glossy frame around every decal disappears. Use lukewarm water, not hot.
Paints, glue and the base kit are obtained separately.
