Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Czechoslovak jet trainer in 1:48 scale. It is based on the injection-molded plastic from AMK and is supplemented with photo-etched parts, printed details, masks for the glazing and a pilot figure. The decals offer four marking options. It is a richly equipped box that a modeler with experience will appreciate more, because the accessories call for careful preparation and fitting.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft developed and series-produced in Czechoslovakia. The prototype flew in 1959, and series production then ran from the first half of the 1960s. After comparative trials it became the basic trainer of the Warsaw Pact states and flew in Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union, Poland and Hungary and in a number of countries outside Europe. It was powered by a home-built turbojet and the aircraft became known for its calm handling, its ruggedness and its ability to operate from unpaved surfaces.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the photo-etched parts before you close the fuselage. Fit the masks only onto finished and polished glazing. Spray a gloss clear coat under the decals, otherwise matte edges will appear beneath them. Cut the thin parts from the sprue with a sharp blade, not with cutters.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
