Turned brass replacement barrels for the German 28 cm SK C/34 (11 inch) in 1:700 scale from MASTER. An accurate metal accessory for the main battery, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely turned brass barrels of 28 cm (280 mm, 11 inch) caliber, the SK C/34 type, in 1:700 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER. It is a metal detail accessory that replaces the plastic barrels from the box. The package contains 9 pieces, which matches the main battery in three triple turrets. The metal barrels are perfectly straight and have a faithful profile, which plastic castings usually cannot manage.
The gun of 28 cm caliber and 54.5 calibers length, the SK C/34, was the main armament of the German capital ships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. It was fitted in three triple turrets, nine barrels per ship in all. It was a high-velocity gun with a long barrel, characteristic of the German design school of the 1930s.
Cut off the original plastic barrels and clean them up, then seat the turned parts in the turrets. They are glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer for metal.
This is a replacement part, not a ship model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
