Kirishima was a battlecruiser of the Kongo class of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The ships of this class were designed at the beginning of the 20th century to a British pattern and were among the fastest heavy units of their day. In 1915 Kirishima served as a modern battlecruiser with a strong gun armament. The ship later went through an extensive reconstruction into a fast battleship and was sunk in the Second World War. This kit captures her in her early, battlecruiser form.
Separate the small parts carefully with a sharp knife. The hull can be finished as a waterline version or complete. The railings and the fine superstructure stand out with add-on photo-etched sets. Use an airbrush for painting and pick out the deck and the superstructure with washes. A stand will serve for stable display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
