An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary American battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) in 1:700 scale. The Modelers Edition adds photo-etched parts (railings, radars and other fine details) and painting masks for the decks and the upper surfaces of the turrets. The model can be built with the full hull or as a waterline version. The package holds plastic parts, decals, photo-etch, masks and building instructions.
USS Missouri was one of the Iowa-class battleships, the fastest American battleships. She entered service in the Second World War and became famous for the Japanese surrender being received on her deck. She stood out for a massive main battery and a long active career.
Decide between the full hull and waterline beforehand. Bond the fine photo-etched parts with super glue and mask the decks with the templates supplied. Paint the hull and the superstructure with an airbrush and bring out the deck details with a wash and a dry brush. Add the railings and the radars at the very end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
