Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American battleship USS New Jersey (BB-62) in 1:700 scale from Tamiya, from the Waterline Series. The model has the hull at waterline level, three main-caliber turrets, an articulated superstructure and rich anti-aircraft armament. A name plate is enclosed for display.
USS New Jersey is the second unit of the Iowa class and is among the most decorated battleships of the US Navy. Her main armament consisted of nine 406 mm guns. New Jersey took part in the fighting of the Second World War in the Pacific, later in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and after an extensive modernization she served as late as the 1980s. Her long career makes her an icon of the American fast battleships.
Clean up the joints of the hull and the deck carefully. Lay down the basic shade with an airbrush, set the wooden deck apart and pick it out with a fine wash. The railings and the radar antenna come out best when replaced with a photo-etched set (not included in the package). The model can be displayed on a stand or in a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
