A detailed plastic kit of the Czechoslovak Aero L-29 Delfin jet trainer in 1:72 scale from AMK. The model has finely engraved surfaces and a richly worked cockpit interior, for which photo-etched parts are included. It is supplied as injection-molded plastic with clear parts and a decal sheet.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was a basic jet trainer developed in Czechoslovakia at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s. It became the standard training aircraft of the Soviet Air Force and of the Warsaw Pact states, where it trained generations of pilots, and it was built in large numbers. It stood out for simple handling and durability, which made it popular in the demanding service of military flying schools.
Assemble and paint the cockpit interior before closing the fuselage, and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Mask the canopy glazing before spraying. A primer will improve paint adhesion, and an airbrush suits the painting. For the typical look you can choose silver or gray shades according to the markings of the individual countries.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
