A set of pre-cut masks, 1:72 B6N Tenzan - national insignia with a white outline, from Dead Design for spraying the hinomaru instead of using decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but an accessory for a finished model. The set contains pre-cut self-adhesive masks of the Japanese national insignia, in the variant with a white outline around the perimeter. The Nakajima B6N Tenzan was a carrier torpedo bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the successor to the older B5N type.
Why the version with a white outline
A white outline around the red disc appeared on Japanese machines mainly on dark green camouflage, where the red on its own would merge into it. Spraying it through a mask is more convenient than using a decal, because both parts of the insignia come out exactly concentric and the edge is crisp. The form without a white outline is a separate item, so choose according to the scheme you are building.
Let the base coat cure thoroughly. Place the mask according to the drawing, press the edges down and smooth the transition with a toothpick. Spray the white coat of the outline first, let it dry and only then add the red area of the insignia as the instructions say. Lay the paint on in several thin coats perpendicular to the edge of the mask, so that it does not creep under, and lift the mask off while the paint is fresh.
