The Barracuda Mechanics set in 1:72 scale from CMK. Three figures of deck mechanics, one of them in a raincoat.
Responsibility details are not available.
The trio of figures captures deck personnel at work on an aircraft carrier. According to the name one of the figures is dressed in a raincoat, which turns the scene into inclement weather on an open deck. The set comes from the CMK brand and is prepared for 1:72 scale.
The British carrier bomber Fairey Barracuda came about as a replacement for aging biplanes and served from the middle of the war. The high-set tail, the wing above the cabin and the angular shape gave it an unmistakable silhouette. The best known action was against a battleship lying at anchor in a Norwegian fjord, where machines from several carriers attacked at dawn.
First set the figures out dry and look for the line of sight along which the viewer's eye is to be led. Only then glue them down and add small things such as a wheel off a landing gear or a toolbox. A wet deck can be suggested with gloss varnish in narrow strips.
On the deck of a carrier, tie-down ropes, chocks under the wheels and parked ammunition trolleys are rarely missing. Two or three such elements are enough and the scene gains scale at once. If you want to suggest bad weather, add dark patches left by rain and glossy areas along the edges.
