The set brings color three-dimensional elements for the interior of the F-14B model in 1:72 scale. The printed films carry both the color and a three-dimensional relief, so the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat surfaces gain a depth that a brush on a smooth plastic part achieves only with difficulty. The elements are printed on a backing decal paper from which they slide off one by one after soaking.
The films of the QD line have no adhesive layer of their own. The element is cut out, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper onto a surface coated with gloss varnish, on which it takes hold. Do not use decal softener or setting solution, as they would damage the printed resin. It is advisable to level the plastic part under the film beforehand and to remove raised edges and surplus material, because the thin film follows the shape of the surface faithfully. Work with smooth-jawed tweezers, as fingerprints stay on the colored side.
The set is cut for the Great Wall Hobby kit. The elements are drawn for its particular parts, so they need not line up on a model from another maker. The scope of the set and the placement of the individual elements are described in the instructions enclosed in the package.
A set of interior elements is what is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
