This injection-molded plastic kit from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft represents the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 in the R6 fit, that is with a pair of underwing gondolas carrying 20 mm cannon, in a scheme referring to a well-known German fighter pilot. The Polish manufacturer supplies it as a reboxed kit from an older mold with decals for several color variants. The kit suits builders who do not mind a simpler mold and a little cleanup of the parts.
The Bf 109 G-6 was among the most widespread versions of this fighter; its recognition feature was the fairings over the 13 mm guns in the nose. The R6 equipment set added a pair of cannon under the wings for use against bombers. The versions with high scores became famous through their pilots and their striking personal markings.
Clean up the parts and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; with an older mold expect to remove flash and possibly to fill seams. Apply primer, paint with an airbrush and lay down a gloss coat before the decals. Set the underwing gondolas symmetrically and take care over the exact placing of the personal markings.
