DK Decals 1:72 Boeing B-17F/G Flying Fortress 15th Air Force is a decal set for models of the heavy bomber B-17 as used in Italy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from DK Decals intended for models of the heavy bomber Boeing B-17F and B-17G. The sheet concentrates on the aircraft of the Fifteenth Air Force of the USAAF and lets you finish a model with period markings. It is not a kit: the decals serve to finish a model obtained separately.
The B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engine American heavy bomber, an icon of the strategic bombing of the Second World War. The Fifteenth Air Force operated from southern Italy and its formations attacked targets in southern and central Europe. The F and G versions differed above all in their nose armament and in details of the airframe.
Apply the large insignia over a smooth gloss varnish and use a decal softener and fixer so that they settle onto the riveting and broken-up surfaces. Once dry, overcoat with a matte or satin varnish.
The package contains decals only. The model itself, paints and varnish are not included.
