Masking sheets for the deck of the battleship Missouri BB-63 in 1:700 scale from Artwox Model bound the deck surfaces during spraying. It is not a ship model but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pre-cut Artwox Model masking sheets follow the shape of the decks of the battleship Missouri in 1:700 scale. The cut matches the specific Meng PS004 kit, which matters with this subject: Artwox offers masking sets for Missouri in several versions, depending on whose model they are intended for. Before you order, therefore, compare which kit you are building.
The set does one job, but it does it reliably: it bounds the deck so that it can be sprayed without overlapping onto the sides and the superstructure. It contains neither paint nor veneer, so the finished look of the deck depends on what you spray it with. The advantage over veneer is that you choose the shade and the degree of weathering yourself and the surface stays level with the plastic around it.
Store the sheets on their backing paper and handle them by the edge; fingerprints reduce the grip. Dust the model off before laying them down, as a small speck under the mask makes a step along the edge. Hold the airbrush at right angles above the surface and avoid spraying from the side under the edge, which is exactly where paint creeps under most often. After spraying, take the mask off before the paint has cured completely and clean up any hairline overlaps with a moistened toothpick.
An accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
