Polystyrene sheets 0.75 mm from Aber: three sheets measuring 195 by 315 mm for load-bearing parts and conversions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains three polystyrene sheets measuring 195 by 315 millimeters with a thickness of 0.75 millimeters. It is the thicker version of the same material that the manufacturer also offers in a thinner gauge, and it suits everywhere a part has to carry something or hold its shape: bulkheads, floors, load-bearing structures, armor plates and the bases of buildings on a diorama.
Score a thicker sheet with a scalpel along a ruler several times over, and only then snap it; one pass is not enough. Level the edge with a file or with sandpaper on a flat surface. The material is joined with cement for plastic, which welds the two parts together, and on load-bearing joints it pays to reinforce the joint from the inside with a strip of the same material. Before painting it is enough to degrease the surface and prime it.
For modelers who rebuild kits, build their own structures or repair damaged models, and for builders of dioramas. The manufacturer offers the thinner version of the same material separately, so the two thicknesses can be combined according to what the part has to carry.
When cutting, work on a cutting mat and draw the blade away from your body. The thicker material offers more resistance, so press evenly on the blade and do not hurry.
