A bombardier's station set for the glazed nose of the Boeing B-17G bomber in 1:72 scale, intended for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing B-17G was an American four-engine bomber of the Second World War and its nose is glazed all over. That is exactly where the bombardier's station sat, the position from which the target was sighted. On a model it is the only place that is visible across its whole area from outside, so an empty nose spoils a finished build more than anything else.
The equipment of the bombardier's station for a model of the B-17G in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the parts from the kit and brings a raised relief into the nose that tells under the glazing. According to its name it is cut for the Airfix kit, so on a model of different origin you have to count on adjusting the mating surfaces and on checking the width of the space.
For the builder who wants the glazed nose transparent and equipped rather than blanked off. It pays off above all when you plan to polish the clear part or mask the frames so that as much area as possible stays transparent.
What is supplied is a set of parts as described. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
