An injection-molded plastic kit of the military version of the light single-engine Cessna 180, used under the military designation U-17, in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The package contains plastic sprues, clear glazing parts and decals for the Israeli configuration. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Cessna 180 is a high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear that proved itself in military service as a liaison, observation and light transport aircraft. In the U-17 version it served for observation, forward air control, courier flights and training. The glazed cabin gave an excellent view, and undemanding operation from short and unpaved strips made it a reliable helper for a number of air arms.
Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement and use a cement for the clear glazing that leaves no fogging. We recommend a primer underneath and spraying with an airbrush. Bring out a small single-color or two-color finish with subtle weathering on the panel lines. Settle the decals over a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
