A kit of the British DAC Mk. I armored car with the Littlejohn adapter on the barrel, in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
British armored cars were among the typical machines of reconnaissance units. They were light, fast and well equipped against tanks only in the sense that they were meant to avoid them. That is precisely why a way was sought to get more out of a small gun without the vehicle growing thicker and heavier.
The Littlejohn was a tapered attachment fitted to the muzzle of the barrel. A projectile with soft flanges was squeezed in it to a smaller diameter, which sharply raised its muzzle velocity and its penetration. The drawback was that with the attachment fitted, ordinary high-explosive ammunition could not be fired, so the crew had to decide when to have it on the barrel and when not.
This is a kit of the vehicle in 1:72 scale, that is, in the usual scale for ground vehicles in a large collection. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Before the build, go through the instructions and work out which subassemblies are better painted before you close them up.
In a small scale it is cleanness of work that decides: clean up the excess material, fill the seams and let the filler cure properly. Paint the chassis and the underside of the hull separately while they are accessible.
British vehicles are usually finished in a single color, so the result turns on shading the surfaces, gently picking out the edges and restrained dirt around the wheels. Paints, glue and filler are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
